Bulova 14k Rose Gold, C-1940’s. Item #3125 Price $975

Here we have a fully restored, solid rose gold 1940’s Bulova men’s watch in great vintage condition. It is encased in SOLID 14k ROSE GOLD with a matte finish case body and high-polished multi-angled lugs. The case measures 39.16 mm from lug to lug, and 21.3 mm across without the crown. This size is pretty standard for the time period.
The dial retains its original bronze finish which is two-tone with lighter outer track and darker center. Our pictures really do not do it justice. It is rare to find a 1940’s watch with an original finish dial in anywhere near this condition. There is also the original blued steel hand set. The high-grade Bulova signed movement is USA made, cal. 7AK, with 21 jewels. This was Bulova’s highest grade movement at the time.
We have just completed a full restoration on the watch. That included a correct movement service with a new mainspring. The case has never been polished and only lightly used of the finish is as it was when new. All we did was clean it. We installed a rose gold signed Bulova crown that is period correct. Lastly, we installed an original “correct” new old stock glass crystal. It is what the watch first had when new. So the watch looks great and is running as when new. Not a chronometer, but keeps very good time. Again, as when new, in the 1940’s!
One last thing. We installed a brown with a bit of red Lizard strap and we took a vintage gold filled buckle and plated it rose gold to match the case finish. It completes the look.
