History
Pieces of Time was established in 1992. We maintain a retail store in Newington Connecticut. Our initial focus was on servicing and restoring customer’s vintage timepieces and we quickly established a reputation for superior service. Our workshop is set up with the tools and equipment needed to meet the high standards of modern watchmaking.
In recent years we have transitioned to primarily selling fine pre-owned and vintage timepieces. Most watch dealers are not trained watchmakers and have limited mechanical knowledge, but at Pieces of Time every watch we sell is properly serviced and warranted, and all of the work is done on the premises by owner Rick Littlefield. This is what sets us apart from other dealers.

Meet Rick Littlefield
Rick received his professional training at The American Watchmaker & Clockmaker Institute’s Academy of Watchmaking and holds two watchmaking certifications. He completed the AWCI Project Extend Course in American Pocketwatches, the AWCI Continuing Education Course “Introduction to Precision Timing” taught by Antoine Simonin, and traveled to Switzerland to train at the ETA Technical Training Center.
Before becoming a professional watchmaker / watch dealer, Rick collected extensively and his interest in horology began over 40 years ago. Quality restoration work requires both experience and respect for the integrity and authenticity of the timepiece. A watchmaker who is also a collector approaches restoration work with a perspective that goes beyond technical ability and having the proper tools and equipment. We maintain an extensive inventory of spare parts acquired over the last 35 years which enables us to restore your timepiece in the truest sense of the word.
