This style of watch is referred to as “Sweetheart” watches given on special occasions.
This 1950’s ladies Hamilton wristwatch is all American made!
It’s housed in a solid 14K white gold case and comes on a matching 14k white gold bracelet. There are also a total of 8 diamonds, 4 on either end of the watch. The total gold weight of the case and bracelet with the diamonds is 11 grams.
The solid gold signed case measures 15mm across without the crown, and about 6 1/4” long. The case has a very Art Deco style.
The original finish dial looks great with its applied hour markers and matching steel hands. This watch is around 70 or so years old and does show some signs of age and careful use during its lifetime. Overall it’s in wonderful condition. Even better it comes with its original box and hangtag.
Completing the watch is a hand-wind mechanical movement. It is the USA made and Hamilton’s best. The caliber 76i features 22 jewels and shook proofing to improve wearability. Just a beautiful watch inside and out! The watch was just serviced and ultrasonically cleaned. It looks great, running strong and keeping good time!
