Wakmann “Big Boy” Sports Chronograph Item #3091
This very collectable Wakmann “Big Boy” Sports Chronograph wristwatch features a 40mm stainless steel case with a rotating timing bezel and a very good original finish multi-color dial and hand set. The “Big” case is huge for the late 1960’s. The heavy screw-back case was designed as a deep diver and originally listed as being 20 ATM water resistant. The signed movement is based on the Valjoux 7733 and features 17 jewels, shockproofing and manual winding. Everything about this watch is original from the crown, chrono pushers and dial and hands.
We have just finished a complete service on the movement so it is running well, keeping good time and the chronograph functions smoothly. During service the case was ultrasonically cleaned. Lastly we installed a new black leather sports strap which matches the watch perfectly.
