Waltham 12-Size Hunter C-1910
Here we have a C-1910 Waltham hunter style pocketwatch in outstanding condition. The gold filled Fahy’s hunter case is a 12-size and features some outstanding details throughout. Both the front and back of the case have an engine turned finish with floral accents at the bottom. The case finish retains its original rich texture and depth, to the point where it looks like it could never have been polished and certainly rarely used. Even the bow is nicely detailed with a scalloped edge.
The signed porcelain dial is in very nice condition. It features fancy blued steel hands and contrasting red accents at 5-minute intervals. The watch is powered by a Waltham signed movement with 17 jewels and is marked adjusted. The movement features rose gold jewel bezel settings, rose gold timing screws on the balance wheel, a micrometer regulator, and some very nice damasked finishing to the plates.
This one would make a great carrying piece!
The price includes full restoration and repair. The work will be performed after purchase. This entails proper service of the movement, a new mainspring, and anything else that would be necessary to bring the watch into proper working order.
Once you’ve made your purchase, please contact us so we may discuss the restoration.
Please allow 1-2 weeks after purchase for service to be completed.
Our goal is to achieve what we refer to as “Sympathetic Restoration”; in other words, bringing the watch back as close as possible to its original appearance without the need to remove all signs of its former life. We don’t want to dramatically change its history.
During the restoration, we only use we only use period-correct parts, and in most cases, genuine factory parts from the same time period as the watch.
