Longines Pocketwatch C-1925 .900 Silver

Item #13239

Wonderful condition and left untouched for many, many years!

Here we have a Longines pocekwatch from C-1925 with a dual signature on the dial “LONGINES P. Kopmehl – Steiger Zurich”. They were a upscale jewelry store in Germany much Tiffany. The watch itself features a signed .900 silver case with coin edge on the bezel and caseback. The case frame features some very detailed scrollwork. Wonderful condition that looks and feels near new. There is of course lots of great patina to the silver finish and the watch has not been cleaned or even touched in a couple of generations. The dial shows a bit of aging, but still wonderful. And have a look at those blued steel hands, very fancy. The movement is Longines’s own cal. 18.79 with 15 jewels. The serial number on the movement matches the one on the case. Not something you see a lot accept for the better brands. The case measures 46 mm or about the size of an American 12S pocekwatch.

When servicing this watch we feel cleaning the case only would be most appropriate.  To polish and remove its patina doesn’t seem right.

The price includes full restoration and repair. The work will be performed after purchase. This entails proper service of the movement, a new mainspring, and anything else that would be necessary to bring the watch into proper working order.

Once you’ve made your purchase, please contact us so we may discuss the restoration.

Please allow 1-2 weeks after purchase for service to be completed.

Our goal is to achieve what we refer to as “Sympathetic Restoration”; in other words, bringing the watch back as close as possible to its original appearance without the need to remove all signs of its former life. We don’t want to dramatically change its history.

During the restoration, we only use we only use period-correct parts, and in most cases, genuine factory parts from the same time period as the watch.
