Sandoz Super Compressor 40mm Diver C-1960’s
Sandoz oversize 40 X 47mm Super Compressor Diver Wristwatch, circa 1960’s. Large and impressive case with heavy, thick lugs, great overall condition on the original finish gray dial with applied silver indexes and luminous dots, with matching luminous match stick hands. It features a rotating inner elapsed time bezel operated by upper of 2 signed Sandoz logo crowns. Powered by self winding Swiss movement with sweep seconds and date. Caseback engraving is petty shallow. It contains the Sandoz logo and case serial #s. A large and impressive model for dress or sport and comes on a new French made black leather sports strap. Fully serviced by us and comes with our 1 year warrantee on our workmanship and timekeeping. During service we cleaned the case, but did no polishing. The case shows signs of use, but still very good condition considering it is 60 or so years old. The dial, hands and inner bezel retain their finish and all looks great. Please see pictures.
The last pictures shows the watch on my wrist. I’m 5’9″ and 160 lbs for an idea of size. No matter how you look at it, this is a big watch.
