This classic Rolex Airking reference #5500 is from the 1960s. The watch features a silver dial with applied, faceted silver markers, and matching silver/luminous hands. The 34mm Stainless Steel Oyster case is in very nice condition. Completing the case is a signed, stainless steel Rolex crown and a smooth stainless steel bezel. Powering the watch is Rolex’s own, cal. 1520 automatic movement with 17 jewels.

The watch has just received a full overhaul in our shop. The movement was completely serviced including a new mainspring. The watch also received a new acrylic crystal, a new casetube, a new mainspring, and all new gaskets. The case was completely disassembled and refinished to match its original factory appearance. It was then ultrasonically cleaned. Finally, the watch was tested to check if the case is water-resistant. It passed both pressure and vacuum test ensuring the case is sealed. The printout of the test result is included (see the very last photo).
