This classic Rolex Airking reference #5500 is from 1977. The watch features an original finish silver sunburst dial with applied, faceted steel markers and matching steel w/luminous hands. The 34mm Stainless Steel Oyster case is in good condition. Completing the case is a signed, stainless steel Rolex crown and a smooth stainless steel bezel. Powering the watch is Rolex’s own cal. 1520 automatic movement with 17 jewels. It comes ready to wear on a brown Crocodile strap.
The watch has just received a full overhaul in our shop. The movement was serviced a new mainspring installed. The watch also received a new crystal and all new gaskets. The case was completely disassembled and ultrasonically cleaned. Finally, the watch was tested to check if the case is water resistant. It passed both a pressure and vacuum test ensuring the case is sealed. The printout of the test result is included (see the very last photo).
