Rolex Oyster Perpetual Bubbleback ref. #2940 Stainless Steel
Talk about a piece of history! This stunning Rolex Oyster Perpetual Bubbleback dates to the 1940’s. The stainless steel case is in great condition considering it is 80 years old or so. With a thick Oyster case and the signature bubble style caseback, it really wears much bigger than its 32mm. The case is signed Rolex, and features its original stainless steel Rolex Oyster Brevet crown. The original dial looks to us to be a very old refinish – one of the nicest we’ve seen (and we’ve seen a LOT)! The style is reminiscent of the scientific dials of the era. The design looks great with matching blued steel/luminous hands and a blued steel center sweep seconds hand, All Original Rolex! It features a signed Rolex automatic chronometer grade movement. Fully serviced and keeping very good time for the period! We installed a brand new, high grade sports strap that just adds to the great look of this classic vintage Rolex.
