Rolex Datejust ref. 1603 SS w/Correct Period Bracelet Item #3170
Men’s Rolex Datejust, ref. 1603, C-1968 in stainless steel and features an engine turned bezel. The 36 mm stainless steel case, as with the rest of the watch head, is in great shape. The watch is powered by a signed Rolex cal. 1575, 26 jewel chronometer grade automatic movement with non-quickset date. Case, bezel and crown are all original and in great condition. The pie-pan style dial and hands are also original Rolex and look wonderful, all in great condition. The dial is the rarely seen light grey with steel hour markers topped with black onyx. The watch comes on a period correct Jubilee bracelet which, given its age looks great. These folded link bracelets were loose when new and many did not last so to find one is this condition is getting pretty difficult. We kept the bracelet in as found condition. Of course we did properly clean it before installing it on the watch.
We have just completed a full service on this watch, including a correct movement overhaul, all new gaskets, mainspring, case tube and crystal ($775 cost in our shop). We also refinished the case to match its original factory appearance.
