Omega 14K Gold Seamaster Bumper Automatic ref. #G6546 Item #3194
All original condition on this hefty solid 14K Gold Omega Seamaster C-1950 (75 YEARS OLD!) with an original finish dial. The heavy high polish case measures 34.74mm across without the crown and just over 42.8mm from lug tip to lug tip. This really looks and wears like a bigger watch with its W I D E lugs and thick gold bezel. It features a signed gold “correct style” Seamaster crown! The signed, screw on caseback shows a slight bit of scratching (most likely from misuse of a case wrench), but it still looks great.
The movement is the Omega in-house cal. 354 with bumper Automatic winding. It also features shock-proofing, micrometer regulator, 17 jewels and is Swiss made. Now the dial is original and has aged, well aged. But being original and for the most part the patina is even (except for the very top) and looks good. At least we think it does considering it is original and 75 years old. The gold hands and applied faceted arrow markers and Arabic numerals are also original.
We have just completed a full service on this watch including a new mainspring and caseback gasket. It is running well and keeping good time. During service we lightly refinished the case and then ultrasonically cleaned it. Lastly, we installed new “vintage” brown leather strap so it is ready to wear and enjoy.
