Untouched original condition!
Here we have a VERY cool and ALL ORIGINAL Swiss made Ollech & Wajs Dive Chronograph from the 1960’s. This one features the iconic Valjoux 72 movement with 17 jewels.
It’s housed in a heavy duty stainless steel case that measures 38mm across excluding the crown and pushers, and 46.7mm from lug to lug. As a true dive watch, it features a screw down case back and its original screwdown crown. The caseback is even marked with “20 ATM” complete with a spearfishing diver and his catch – very cool and never overpolished. The case also features an original rotating bezel with a blue Bakelite insert. While not perfect, it still looks very good for a 50+ year old dive watch.
The rich blue dial features an original sunburst finish. Technically, FIVE colors make up the dial. The hands are also original and in great condition. The luminous on the dial and hands is all original and beautifully aged. As for the sub-dials, two are textured silver, while the third features contrasting red and blue accents. Amazing details and great bright colors!
This one comes recently serviced. It’s keeping very good time with all of its chronograph functions (start, stop, and flyback) working just as they should. The case was ultrasonically cleaned, but not polished or refinished in any way to preserve the originality. It comes ready to wear and enjoy on genuine leather sport strap with a rubber back.
