Here we have an “unpolished” late 1960’s, maybe early 1970’s Swiss-made wristwatch in SOLID 18K GOLD.  Please take a look at the photos. All kinds of great details and sharp edges. The 18K Gold case looks outstanding for any age, even more so given this one is at least 50 years old!

The solid 18K Gold case measures 34.3mm across without the crown, and 40.65mm from lug tip to lug tip. The original finish dial features a gold matte finish that looks perfect. The dial markers are two-tone and feature gold applied markers with each having a black accent on top. The matching hands are also two-tone, in matching gold and black. Powering the watch is a signed “Nicolet” Swiss-made movement with 17 jewels and shockproofing.

We just serviced the movement and installed a new mainspring and crystal. The watch is running strong, keeping a very good time. During service, we ultrasonically cleaned the gold case only, no polishing.

You may not recognize the name, but the quality is there making this timepiece an outstanding value. It comes ready to wear and enjoy on a new black lizard grain strap.
