What a wonderful late 60’s or early 70’s design for this Jaeger LeCoutre Memovox GT “Speed Beat” reference E873. The watch is powered by the caliber 916 automatic winding movement with date at 3:00. The watch is completely original and in outstanding condition. During service, we disassembled the case completely and ultrasonically cleaned it, but did no refinishing. The original finish looks great so it was left alone. The movement was serviced and a new “correct” crystal was installed. The watch is running as good as it looks.

This is a very cool and unusual version of the JLC Memovox alarm watch that is a real conversation starter. The all stainless steel case measures 39 X 42 mm and has two original JLC crowns. As with the rest of the watch, the dial is in great original condition. The dial features a wonderful blue background outer with the inner dial that is sectioned with striking orange concentric circles. The inner dial is used to set the alarm function using the crown at 2:00. This crown also winds the alarm mainspring and controls the off/on of the alarm. The crown at four is used to wind the timekeeping movement and set the hour and minute hands. The alarm is very loud, maybe one of the loudest I’ve heard on a watch. We finished the watch by adding a Camel grain tan strap with contrast stitching. If you don’t like the strap we can change it.
