IWC Schaffhausen Yacht Club Blue Dial, Original bracelet!
Wonderful condition on this C-1964, all original IWC Yacht Club featuring IWC’s high grade in-house Caliber 854 automatic movement with 17 Jewels. The very same movement used in the IWC Ingenieur from the period. An outstanding automatic winding movement! Maybe the best produced by any Swiss house at the time.
The stainless steel case measures 37.44mm across without the crown and 43.23mm from lug tip to lug tip. The style of the case is what we refer to as a “Super Shockproofing” case. In essence, the movement is housed in a smaller, inner case that nests inside the outer case for extra shock protection. An original stainless steel crown with the signature IWC fish is the finishing touch.
This one also features an outstanding Blue dial in completely original, untouched condition. Just the slightest hint of aging gives it the perfect amount of character. Two tone silver and black-topped hour markers surround the dial, and matching two tone hands with luminous tips complete the look. Signed with a big, bold applied stainless steel ‘IWC’ at 12 o’clock.
This classic IWC comes serviced and is keeping excellent time. We did a little light refinishing the case to match its factory appearance before ultrasonically cleaning it.
Lastly, the watch comes on its original signed IWC stainless steel bracelet. As with the watch, the bracelet is in outstanding vintage condition and will fit up to an 8″ wrist. This watch is eady to wear and enjoy for years to come!
