IWC Schaffhausen / Turler Solid 18K Gold Automatic Item #3157

Every IWC has an air of understated elegance; this C-1962 solid 18K Gold Automatic double signed IWC is no exception!

This one boasts a Solid 18K Gold three piece case that measures 34mm across without the crown and 42mm from lug tip to lug tip. The case is in EXCELLENT, UNPOLISHED condition. That’s right, the case has never been polished. All surfaces, from the drop-down lugs, bezel and caseback are factory original. Please take a good look at just how sharp those edges are. This watch was very carefully and rarely used. Plus it features an original signed gold crown with the IWC signature FISH (for water resistant). Now that’s original and just look at the condition.

The gold dial is double signed making it far more collectable. It is signed IWC Schaffhausen and Turler. This wonderful dial  retains its original finish. It’s highlighted by applied gold bar markers and its original matching gold hand set. Powering the watch is an IWC signed, in-house Caliber 8531 movement with 21 Jewels. A very high grade movement that was also used in IWC’s Ingenieur watches of the same period. These “Pellaton” automatics are considered one of the best auto wind movements of all time!

The watch comes fully and correctly serviced by us and included a new crystal and mainspring. It’s keeping excellent time and comes ready to wear and enjoy. We paired the watch with a glossy dark brown genuine Lizard strap that looks great against the yellow gold.

One last thing. The last photo shows the watch on my wrist to give some prospective. I’m 5’9” and 155 lbs and a 34mm watch looks perfectly fine on my wrist.
