Outstanding Condition, ALL ORIGINAL, and ROSE GOLD!
This wonderful timepiece features high polished and flared “shark’s fin” lugs. It also features a fully signed 3-piece case that measures a very big 36.3 mm. A large watch for the late 1950s. The watch has been carefully worn based on the condition of the case. The off-white dial shows aging, but the finish is original and completely untouched (it looks better in person). The dial is accented with rose gold markers and matching rose gold hands, all in great condition.
This vintage IWC features one of the most desirable manual wind movements: the high-grade 17-jewel IWC in-house Cal 89. The watch comes fully serviced including a movement overhaul and a new mainspring. We completely disassembled the gold case and very lightly polished it to restore its luster. After that, we ultrasonically cleaned it – that’s all it needed. The watch comes ready to wear on a top-of-the-line handmade brown Lizard strap.
