Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Ref. #1500 with Rolex Oyster Bracelet

This 1978 Rolex Chronometer Oyster Date is in all original and features a wonderful, all original smoke gray dial (our pictures do not do it justice). Take a good look at the photos for yourself. The original finish dial is a matte smoky gray with a subtle sheen. It catches the light differently at various angles, and is accented nicely by the contrasting high polish, faceted silver/steel bar markers. Matching silver/steel hands complete this sleek look. ALL ORIGINAL! There is some very slight aging, but the dial is still outstanding considering the watch is 45 years old. The 34mm stainless steel Oyster case features an engine-turned steel bezel and an original signed Rolex crown – all in very nice condition.
The 1570 Chronometer grade movement features 26 jewels, auto winding and non-quickset date at 3:00. The watch has been fully serviced including all new gaskets, a new mainspring and a new crystal. A full (correct) service like this would cost $675 in our shop. The case and bracelet have both been lightly refinished to match the watch’s original factory appearance. Lastly, it comes on a genuine Rolex Oyster solid link bracelet. The bracelet shows a bit of use, but is in good shape overall and nice and solid.
