A Cleaning Project

People often ask us why we like vintage pre-owned Rolexes, and specialize in selling and servicing them. The 1980’s Date just below illustrates this perfectly.

Worn daily through thick and thin, this watch continued to function for years – the movement protected from the environment by the Oyster case.

As you can see, the case was very heavily encrusted with dirt and debris behind the lugs, around the crown, and into the knurling.

In contrast, the movement is still clean. This is a testament to Rolex quality, and why it is one of our favorite brands to service and sell.

Needless to say, it is preferable to avoid having this happen in the first place. We recommend removing your watch when doing potentially dirty projects in order to preserve the value of your investment.
